Malaysia-based Treasure Global (TGL) has secured a $15 million contract from Creative World Industries, a government contractor, to build an AI platform that turns large volumes of online conversations into actionable intelligence for marketing, brand management, and customer experience decisions. The deal marks a notable expansion for the company into AI-driven analytics for the public sector, and comes as TGL's stock has fallen sharply over the past year.
Under the agreement announced Thursday, Treasure Global will develop a social listening system powered by Nvidia's GPU infrastructure. The platform will process "millions of conversations" using AI models, machine learning, and predictive analytics, producing real-time sentiment analysis, trend detection, and behavioral insights.
What the platform will do
The system is designed to handle unstructured digital conversations - the kind of scattered, informal exchanges that happen across social media, forums, and messaging channels - and turn them into structured intelligence. Government agencies and their contractors can use those outputs to gauge public sentiment, spot emerging issues, and inform decision-making.
"We are seeing strong market demand for AI systems that turn complex digital data into real-time intelligence," said Sam Teo, acting CEO of Treasure Global. "This engagement strengthens our position in a rapidly growing market and supports our experience to scale high-value, AI-driven solutions across multiple industries."
The contract also signals a growing appetite among government-linked organizations for AI for Government applications, particularly those that can process natural language at scale.
Leadership and financial context
Teo returned to Treasure Global as acting CEO in April, taking over from Carlson Thow, who moved to the role of executive director. Teo had previously stepped down from the top post in June 2024.
The company last week issued preliminary expectations for fiscal 2026, forecasting revenue to more than double. For fiscal 2027, it plans to focus on scaling its user and merchant base across the ZCITY super app.
The contract builds on the company's existing work in AI Data Analysis, applying similar techniques to public-sector needs.
Market reaction
Retail sentiment on Stocktwits shifted from "neutral" to "extremely bullish" over the past 24 hours, with message volumes running "extremely high." One user questioned why the stock continues to fall despite positive catalysts.
TGL stock is down more than 27% so far this year and nearly 83% over the past 12 months.
Why this matters for government professionals
For those working in or with government agencies, this contract is a concrete example of how AI systems are being procured to handle public-sector data analysis. Social listening tools of this kind are increasingly used to monitor citizen feedback, track public opinion on policy initiatives, and identify service delivery issues before they escalate. Understanding how these systems work - and what they cost - will help government professionals evaluate similar proposals and set realistic expectations about what AI-driven analytics can deliver.
