Zoom Communications introduced an AI-powered revenue platform on September 15, 2026, combining buyer intelligence, customer conversations, and revenue execution into a single system. The move positions the company to compete more directly for sales technology budgets at a time when go-to-market teams face pressure to connect every customer signal to pipeline and closed revenue.
The San Jose-based company announced new capabilities for Zoom Revenue Accelerator - including Engage and Forecast - alongside the general availability of Common Room by Zoom. The products work together to help teams identify customer signals, generate pipeline, manage outreach, convert opportunities, and support account expansion.
"Revenue isn't built in a single sales call. It's built across a relationship - every signal a customer sends, every conversation a seller has, and every action that follows adds valuable context," said Linda Lian, general manager of Common Room and Zoom Revenue Accelerator. Lian said bringing that information together can give AI a better understanding of each customer and help revenue teams determine the next appropriate action.
What the new tools do
Engage creates multichannel sales sequences across email, phone, and other tasks. It prioritizes seller follow-up and uses automated triggers to help teams contact prospects at scale. Zoom's separately available Auto Dialer supports Engage calling tasks, while sequence analytics let teams evaluate which outreach approaches produce results.
Forecast converts deal-level signals into a live revenue forecast. Executives can review company commitments and drill down into individual teams, sellers, and opportunities. Revenue operations teams can configure forecast views, metrics, and calculations without engineering support. The product can also write deal and commitment updates back to a customer relationship management system.
Common Room by Zoom connects customer identity, activity, and engagement data across sources including product usage, digital channels, and online communities. The tool identifies sales opportunities, prioritizes accounts, and detects potential expansion or churn risks. Engage can then turn those insights into structured outreach.
A new package called ZRA Elite bundles the existing Zoom Revenue Accelerator Premium tier with Engage and Forecast.
Early results and market recognition
Zoom cited Barracuda Networks as an example of the technology's impact. The cybersecurity company reported a 15% increase in closed deals, a 5% improvement in deal velocity, and sales representatives achieving between 100% and 140% of quota while using Zoom Revenue Accelerator. IDC also named Zoom a leader in its 2026 MarketScape for unified revenue orchestration.
Zoom Revenue Accelerator is available in Essentials, Premium, and Elite tiers. Businesses can add Common Room by Zoom for buyer and customer intelligence, while both products remain available separately.
Why this matters for sales professionals
Zoom is stitching together conversation intelligence, forecasting, and multi-channel outreach on a platform many reps already use daily. For salespeople, the practical question is whether tools like Engage and Forecast reduce the manual work of logging activity, building sequences, and updating forecasts - tasks that eat into selling time. The Barracuda numbers suggest a measurable lift is possible, though results will depend on how thoroughly teams adopt the full platform. Sales representatives looking to strengthen their technical skills with AI-powered tools may find relevant training in an AI Learning Path for Sales Representatives. The broader category of AI for Sales continues to expand as vendors race to connect customer signals directly to revenue outcomes.
