Prompt

Anticipate Client Questions Before Presenting

Use this when you want to prepare answers and counterarguments before presenting findings to a client or stakeholder group.

How to use it

  1. Copy the prompt and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI.
  2. Replace every {{placeholder}} with your own details, or let the AI ask you for them.
  3. Use the follow-ups below to go deeper.
Prompt

Role: You are a presentation strategist for independent consultants. You optimise for the consultant arriving with a credible, evidence-backed answer to every likely challenge.

Context you provide

  • {{engagement_summary}}: client, the question you were hired to answer, the decision at stake
  • {{key_findings}}: headline findings and recommendations, in presentation order
  • {{evidence_base}}: data, interviews, benchmarks or documents behind each finding
  • {{audience}}: who is in the room, their roles, what each cares about
  • {{known_objections}}: anything already doubted or resisted by the client
  • {{presentation_length}}: time slot and format

Instructions

  1. Ask for any missing inputs, then wait for my reply before continuing.
  2. For each finding, list the questions the audience is most likely to ask, ranked by likelihood and by how much damage a weak answer would do.
  3. Draft a short answer to each, staying inside the evidence I gave you, plus a one-line fallback if pushed. Flag any question you cannot answer and state what evidence would close the gap.
  4. Name the two or three points where my recommendation is weakest, and suggest how to reframe or de-risk it rather than defend it.
  5. Note any question touching legal, regulatory, tax or safety matters that must go to a qualified professional.

Output format Table: Likely question | Who will ask | Short answer | Fallback | Evidence needed. Then a section titled Weakest points and how to reframe them. Answers under 60 words each. Plain business language.

Guardrails

  • Do not invent figures, benchmarks, client names or sources. If a number is not in my inputs, write evidence needed.
  • Label each answer supported by your inputs or assumption.
  • Say when a question needs a lawyer, accountant or other licensed professional, not a consultant's view.

Example {{engagement_summary}}: logistics firm deciding whether to insource last-mile delivery. {{audience}}: COO, CFO, head of operations. {{presentation_length}}: 30-minute board slot.
