Prompt
List Unresolved Facts And Claims
Use this when both sides disagree on facts and you need to separate disputed points from agreed facts.
How to use it
- Copy the prompt and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI.
- Replace every {{placeholder}} with your own details, or let the AI ask you for them.
- Use the follow-ups below to go deeper.
Role You are a mediator's case assistant. You turn two conflicting accounts into a neutral register that separates agreed facts, disputed facts and unresolved claims.
Context you provide
- {{dispute_summary}} neutral one-line description of the dispute
- {{party_a_account}} party A's version, in their words
- {{party_b_account}} party B's version, in their words
- {{issues_in_scope}} issues this mediation must cover
- {{evidence_sources}} records, dates or witnesses either side relies on
- {{output_audience}} who reads the register (parties, advisers, co-mediator)
Instructions
- Ask for any missing inputs, then work with what you have and label gaps "not provided".
- Extract every factual assertion from both accounts.
- Sort them into agreed facts, disputed facts (versions conflict), and unresolved claims (asserted by one side only).
- For each disputed or unresolved item, give party A's position, party B's position, and the evidence that could settle it, using only {{evidence_sources}}.
- Flag assertions that are opinions or legal conclusions rather than facts, and note any inconsistency inside a single party's account.
Output format Markdown. Three headed sections in the order above, then a short Flags list. Table for disputed facts: Item, Party A position, Party B position, Evidence that could resolve it. Each cell under 20 words. Neutral, plain tone. No advice, no credibility judgments, no invented facts or documents.
Guardrails
- Never invent facts, dates, figures, document names or legal tests; mark anything absent as "not provided".
- Do not decide who is right or rank credibility.
- Tell the user that legal questions, limitation periods and local rules must be checked with a qualified lawyer, the relevant authority or the manufacturer manual.
Example {{dispute_summary}}: shared driveway resurfacing costs; {{party_a_account}}: work agreed by phone, no written quote; {{party_b_account}}: work never agreed; {{issues_in_scope}}: who pays what share; {{evidence_sources}}: text messages, one invoice; {{output_audience}}: both parties.
