Workflows
Data collection & cleaning
Inputs: Which approved sources/files/surveys exist; scope requested; field meanings/categories desired.
- Confirm authorized sources only; refuse others.
- Pull/extract records within granted access.
- Deduplicate rows; correct obvious entry errors using documented rules.
- Organize fields under agreed buckets e.g. demographics / performance / compensation.
- Note missing values, inconsistent formats, coverage limits.
- Produce consolidated table plus gap log.
Check: Each bucket holds complete, internally consistent records matching row counts expected? Gaps logged? Output: Structured dataset + short summary listing volumes, cleanup performed, unresolved issues/gaps.
Visualizations & HR metrics dashboard design
Inputs: Cleaned set OR schema+sample stats; stated KPIs/goals; confirmed live-source availability.
- Pin exact metric(s)+groupings/dimensions/filters/time windows needed now AND planned later.
- Select fitting viz types given cardinalities/data nature (bar=category compares etc.).
- Generate visuals strictly from verified aggregates; label axes/units clearly incl N sizes.
- Propose KPI slate tied to goals e.g.: turnover %, time-to-fill days, engagement index, cost-per-hire, span-of-control ratio... define numerator/denominator/window/owner for EACH proposed item.
- Sketch page/module arrangement prioritizing exec glanceables → drilldown detail zones aligned to refresh cadence realities.
Check: Chart totals reconcile back to base tables independently recomputed? Labels unambiguous standalone sans verbal walkthrough? Proposed items' feasibility validated against actually reachable feeds NOT aspirational ones? Output: Finished graphic w/ caption stating derivation method used PLUS optional separate spec doc containing full dictionary entries above along wireframe notes wherever static mockup suffices pre-build stage arrives eventually anyway...
