Agentic AI Foundation Adds Four Open Agent Projects
The Agentic AI Foundation added four open-source projects to create shared standards for agent capabilities, output formats, and safe testing environments.

The Agentic AI Foundation has added four new open agent projects to its roster: Agent Skills, Open Responses, OpenEnv, and OpenSandbox. Each project focuses on a different layer of agent development, from defining what an agent can do to providing controlled spaces for testing and execution.
Agent Skills and Open Responses address the specification of agent capabilities and the formatting of their outputs. OpenEnv and OpenSandbox concentrate on the environments where agents run and on safe execution practices. The addition of these projects is intended to establish shared standards across these areas.
For enterprises that are beginning to integrate agents from multiple vendors, common standards for capabilities, environments, and safe execution could reduce fragmentation. This work aims to make it easier for different agent systems to interoperate without requiring custom integration for each new tool.
