Agoda launches AI travel planning features and multi-product booking

Agoda has rolled out a suite of AI-powered travel planning tools that give hotel and events professionals a sharper view of how guests make decisions. The updates include real-time flight notifications, an AI feature that links hotel photos to guest reviews, and the ability to book flights, hotels and activities in a single transaction.

Real-time flight updates reduce traveler uncertainty

Travelers using Agoda's iOS and Android apps now receive automatic notifications throughout their journey. After booking, the platform sends updates on flight status, departure gates, terminal information, check-in counters and baggage carousel details. Agoda said users typically get two to three notifications per booking.

Gallery View and AI-powered review matching

On the accommodation side, Agoda launched Gallery View on its iOS app, a more visual way to browse hotel search results. The platform also introduced an AI tool that automatically pairs hotel photos with relevant guest comments. When a user looks at images of a specific room category, pool or restaurant, they immediately see reviews from previous guests about those exact facilities.

Ittai Chorev, Chief Product Officer at Agoda, said: "Travel is always a little stressful, so having the right information at the right time is both useful and reduces stress. Whether that means seeing the reviews that matter to you alongside relevant images when booking a hotel, or knowing your gate number before even reaching the airport when booking a flight, these updates help travelers make better decisions at every step of their journey."

Multi-product booking and expanded language support

Agoda's booking engine now lets customers reserve hotels, flights and activities within a single transaction. All components are automatically consolidated into the "My Trips" section of the website and app, giving travelers a centralised itinerary view. The company also expanded language support for flight-related chat services, adding Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Thai, Indonesian and five other languages for users in Hong Kong.

These changes reflect a growing push toward smarter, more connected travel tools. For those working in hospitality and events, the AI-driven matching of reviews to images underscores how visual content and guest feedback are becoming inseparable. The new features, part of a broader shift in AI for Hospitality & Events, show how platforms are using real-time data to shape booking behaviour.

Why this matters for hospitality and events professionals

Agoda's AI feature that links guest reviews directly to hotel photos puts a premium on visual consistency and facility quality. Hotel operators and event venues must ensure that what guests see in images matches what they read in comments - a disconnect can immediately derail a booking. The multi-product booking engine also signals that travellers increasingly expect to bundle accommodation, activities and flights, which means event packages and hotel add-ons need to be easily discoverable and bookable within a single flow.
