VCU Research Weeks keynote to address AI's role in higher education
AI expert Alex Goryachev will deliver the closing keynote for Virginia Commonwealth University's 2026 Research Weeks on April 29, examining how universities can lead-rather than simply respond to-AI's transformation of higher education.
Goryachev will draw on his experience advising institutions and enterprises to explore three core areas: how AI accelerates research and discovery, how it reshapes the relationship between faculty and technology, and what institutional strategy changes it demands.
He will also address the ethical responsibilities tied to AI adoption and present a framework for building cultures that balance innovation with accountability.
