AI-Driven Innovation Highlights at International Space Science Conference

The Second International Conference on Space Science and Technology (Suzhou Session) gathered over 300 experts and industry representatives from more than 10 countries. Held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, the event focused on accelerating research and innovation in space exploration and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration through global knowledge exchange.

Organized by the Beijing Institute of Technology in collaboration with the academic journal Space: Science and Technology, the National Key Laboratory of Target Cognition and Application Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Aerospace Information Research Institute, and Soochow University, the conference featured keynote speeches by leading space scientists. Among the distinguished speakers was Ye Peijian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a prominent figure in China’s space science community.

The program included one main forum and four sub-forums, offering more than 30 presentations addressing current challenges in space exploration. Discussions concentrated on:

The conference serves as a platform for experts worldwide to exchange insights and build consensus on space exploration efforts. Following the Suzhou session, the conference will continue in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University's One North campus from July 22 to 24. This upcoming event will again bring together global leaders in both research and industry to further collaborative efforts.

The first session of this international conference took place in Beijing in June 2024, with participation from over 200 representatives from universities and research institutes involved in the space sector.
