Reply, a global group focused on creating new business models with Artificial Intelligence, has revealed the finalists for the inaugural AI Music Contest. This international competition brings together AI and live music performance, inviting creatives to push the boundaries of sound and technology.
Organized in partnership with Kappa FuturFestival in Turin, the contest challenged artists worldwide to blend music, visuals, and AI in live settings. A jury of DJs, producers, presenters, critics, radio hosts, and visual artists selected five finalists who represent some of the freshest and most innovative work at the intersection of electronic music and AI.
A Surge of Creativity and Innovation
The contest attracted over 900 applications and 300 fully developed live performance projects. These submissions came from a diverse group of DJs, musicians, visual artists, producers, and AI researchers, all exploring new forms of multidisciplinary creativity.
The central theme, Experience of a Beat, invited participants to use AI to craft immersive experiences that unify sound, visual art, and audience interaction into a cohesive live expression.

- I AM JAS (Barcelona) – A DJ blending Afrobeat, techno, and experimental sounds, keen on integrating AI into live mixing.
- DeLaurentis (Paris) – DJ and producer using AI-generated vocals and real-time processing in electronic compositions.
- Helang (New York) – Combines techno and trance with a focus on digital identity and technology.
- Marco Puccini (Milan) – Visual artist creating responsive AI-driven environments for live performances.
- MIRROWLAB (Turin) – Collective of developers and producers exploring algorithmic music generation paired with visuals on stage.
Live Performances and Festival Details
The finalists will showcase their AI-enhanced live sets on the LAB stage at Kappa FuturFestival. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Winners will be announced at the festival’s conclusion.
