UK workers with artificial intelligence (AI) skills are seeing an average salary increase of 11%, even in sectors where parts of their jobs are being automated. This trend highlights that knowing how to work alongside AI tools is becoming a valuable asset rather than a threat.
According to PwC’s 2025 Global AI Jobs Barometer, industries exposed to AI are experiencing wage growth at twice the rate of less exposed sectors. This is based on analysis of nearly one billion job adverts, showing that AI-exposed workers are more productive and command higher pay.
