Alibaba released Wan2.7-Video, a video generation model that handles scriptwriting, editing, and scene control through text commands. The system moves beyond single-asset generation to offer end-to-end workflows for video creation, combining text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-based generation, and editing in one tool.

Edit videos with a single sentence. The model automatically preserves lighting, shadows, and textures while making changes, then blends edited areas back into the original footage without visible seams.
Generate scripts and shot plans from short text prompts. The system automatically adjusts scene composition, color grading, and lighting styles based on film genre.
Modify narrative content in existing footage. You can change character actions-making a seated person stand and play video games, for example-while keeping everything else intact. The model also handles dialogue replacement while maintaining emotional tone, lip-sync accuracy, and voice consistency.
Control camera parameters directly. Adjust position, angle, shot scale, lens type, and focal length through text instructions.
Work with multiple reference inputs. The model accepts up to five subject inputs for greater creative precision, and supports video continuation with end-frame control to extend clips with specific final frames.
