Restaurant Software Company allO Raises $14M to Expand AI Operating System
allO closed a $14 million Series A funding round led by Zigg Capital to accelerate its expansion across Europe and build what the company describes as the first AI-native operating system for restaurants. Existing investors 20VC and Keen Venture Partners participated alongside new backers LifeX Ventures, Aperture Capital, and Wecken & Cie. - Care4 AG.
The Berlin-based startup currently operates in more than 1,000 restaurant locations across Germany, with sixfold growth in locations and 3.5 times revenue growth year over year.
The Problem: Fragmented Systems
Restaurant operators today manage disconnected software platforms, fragmented workflows, and labor-intensive administrative tasks. allO's approach replaces this patchwork with a single integrated system powered by AI agents that handle specific operational work.
Rather than adding another software tool for staff to learn, allO builds what it calls "AI-powered digital employees" that operate within the system to handle routine tasks.
What's Launching Now
allO unveiled its Reservation & Ordering Voice Agent, the first of more than 10 AI-powered digital employees scheduled to launch over the next 18 months. The agent handles customer interactions for reservations and ordering, reducing administrative load on restaurant staff.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate hiring, product development, and geographic expansion across Europe.
For Operations Leaders
For restaurant operators managing multiple locations or complex workflows, understanding how AI agents and automation can consolidate operations is increasingly relevant. Operations managers evaluating new systems should consider how integrated AI platforms differ from traditional point-of-sale or reservation software.
Those responsible for restaurant operations may find value in exploring how AI applies to operations management more broadly.
