Claude integrates with creative software tools used by professionals

Anthropic released connectors today that let Claude work directly within design, 3D modeling, music production, and video software. The connectors let creative professionals access Claude's capabilities without leaving their existing tools-Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, Autodesk Fusion, Ableton, and others.

The move addresses a practical problem: creative work involves repetitive tasks, tool-switching, and learning curves. Claude can handle batch processing, explain complex features, write custom scripts, and help move work between applications.

What the connectors do

Adobe for creativity lets users bring images, videos, and designs to life across 50+ Creative Cloud apps including Photoshop and Premiere.

Blender offers a natural-language interface to its Python API, making it easier to understand complex setups and access documentation. Anthropic joined the Blender Development Fund to support the project.

Autodesk Fusion allows designers and engineers to create and modify 3D models through conversation with Claude.

SketchUp turns descriptions into starting points for 3D modeling. Describe a room or piece of furniture, then refine it in SketchUp.

Ableton grounds Claude's answers in official documentation for Live and Push, acting as an on-demand tutor for music production.

Splice lets music producers search royalty-free samples from within Claude.

Affinity by Canva automates repetitive production tasks like batch image adjustments, layer renaming, and file export.

Resolume Arena and Resolume Wire let VJs and live visual artists control equipment in real time through natural language during performances.

Practical applications

Claude can act as a tutor for complex software, explaining modifiers, synthesis techniques, or unfamiliar features. It can write scripts, plugins, and generative systems for tools you already use.

For multi-step production work, Claude handles batch-processing assets, setting up project scaffolding, or applying changes across a scene. It can also bridge tools in a pipeline by translating formats and keeping assets in sync across applications.

Anthropic Labs released Claude Design, a new product that explores ideas for software interfaces. It visualizes options, iterates based on feedback, and exports results to other tools starting with Canva.

Educational partnerships

Three art and design programs now have access to Claude and the connectors: Art and Computation at Rhode Island School of Design, Fundamentals of AI for Creatives at Ringling College of Art and Design, and the MA/MFA Computational Arts program at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Students and faculty will provide feedback to help shape what creative practitioners need from these tools.
