Artlist Reaches $300M in Annual Revenue, Launches AI Studio for Video Directors
Artlist announced it hit $300 million in annual recurring revenue, driven by 600% user growth in the first quarter of 2026. The company simultaneously launched Artlist Studio, a production platform that gives creators shot-by-shot control over AI-generated video.
The new tool addresses a core problem with generative video: maintaining visual consistency across an entire production. Instead of writing text prompts and hoping for results, creators can now direct scenes the way a film director would-choosing actors, locations, camera angles, and other production details before generating footage.
How It Works
Artlist Studio mimics a real production workflow. Creators make visual decisions upfront rather than iterating through text descriptions. The platform handles pre-production, production, and post-production tasks within a single interface.
The company built the tool around four principles: intuitive creative decision-making, precise control at every stage, visual consistency as projects scale, and collaboration features for teams and studios.
Who This Targets
Artlist positions Studio for professional creators and production teams, not casual users. The company says the tool lets studios increase output without sacrificing cinematic quality.
Artlist already serves over 50 million creators and works with major brands including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. The platform combines generative AI for video and images with a library of stock assets like music and voiceovers.
Roee Peled, chief product and technology officer at Artlist, said the studio "removes the logistical barriers in the creative process" by giving creatives more control over AI tools.
Generative video tools have matured significantly, but consistency across longer projects remains a technical hurdle. Artlist's approach-visual direction instead of text prompting-represents one answer to that problem.
Artlist Studio is available now at artlist.io.
