ATELIC AI appointed Richard Emmott as Regional Sales Director, based in Abu Dhabi, on July 30, 2026, as the company scales its industrial AI system across the GCC. The hire brings a seasoned sales and technology leader with a decade of regional experience to the growing firm.
A Sales Leader with Deep Industry Roots

His career spans high-growth companies across the GCC, including Majid Al Futtaim, ADNOC, and PWC, with roles such as CTO and managing director. He was a senior member in three companies that each delivered exceptional returns and successfully listed as an IPO in different countries. Emmott holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, with recent executive updates from Harvard and MIT.
What Drew Emmott to ATELIC
"After 10 years living and working across the GCC in high growth firms such as Majid Al Futtaim, ADNOC, PWC & in roles such as CTO & MD, I'm excited by the technology that Atelic is building for next generation Industrial AI," Emmott said. "What impressed me about Atelic was their ability to offer bespoke solutions at scale and simplify the complex. AI can only be done right with the right architecture and industry domain knowledge."
ATELIC's Industrial AI Focus
Ben Owen, CEO and Founder of ATELIC AI, said Emmott's advisory work in downstream oil, gas, and retail makes him a critical resource as the company scales its Industry Knowledge System - the AKS. "Our technology addresses many of the AI frameworks and transformational projects Mr. Emmott was involved in and we are delighted to see what he can do to continue accelerating demand for secure, industrial-grade Enterprise AI."
ATELIC, headquartered in Dubai with offices in the UAE, the Netherlands, and the United States, builds an industrial AI knowledge system that combines physics-informed technology, industry expertise, and forward-deployed engineering. It turns fragmented operational data into measurable business value for energy and manufacturing companies.
Why this matters for sales professionals
Emmott's appointment signals growing demand for sales leaders who can bridge deep industry knowledge with complex AI solutions. For sales professionals, the move highlights that selling industrial AI requires more than product fluency-it demands understanding of architecture, integration, and the operational realities of sectors like energy and retail. As companies like ATELIC expand, the ability to simplify technical complexity and deliver bespoke solutions at scale becomes a key differentiator in closing enterprise deals.
