Atropos Health expands real-world evidence library to reach a third of U.S. physicians through Meta, Microsoft and other clinical AI partners

Atropos Health is bringing its 33-million-finding Alexandria evidence library to roughly one-third of U.S. physicians via nine new platform partners. The library outperformed GPT, Claude, Llama, and Gemini on accuracy by over 100 percentage points.

Atropos Health Expands Medical Evidence Library to Major Healthcare Platforms

Atropos Health said this week that its Alexandria Real World Evidence library-containing 33 million pieces of precision evidence-based findings-will reach about one-third of U.S. physicians and half of health systems through partnerships with Meta, Microsoft, Heidi Health, Vim, Avo, Autonomize AI, Vye Health, Humata, and Arcadia.

These partners will integrate Alexandria into clinical workflow tools, prior authorization platforms, and AI-driven healthcare operations. The move brings medical evidence directly into the systems physicians already use for patient decisions.

What the Evidence Shows

Atropos evaluated Alexandria's precision summaries against 5,000 real physician questions. The library outperformed GPT 5.4, Claude 4.6 Opus, Llama 4 Maverick, and Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview by more than 100 percentage points on accuracy benchmarks.

CEO Brigham Hyde said the initial release produced a two-to-three-times increase in "Answers with Evidence" compared to other large language models. Alexandria is expected to grow to 2 billion pieces of evidence by year-end.

The company aims to make all medical evidence available to clinicians within their existing workflows, Hyde said.

How the Evidence Gets Vetted

Atropos implemented a four-step review process to ensure accuracy at scale. The process includes clinical review by doctors and industry experts, collaboration with The Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research for peer evaluation, and automated ranking of content as "pass," "pass with notes," or "pass with limitations."

Each AI-generated summary includes an AI Peer Review report analyzing research methods and comparing findings against existing literature. Clinicians can request manual expert review of any evidence presented.

Neil Sanghavi, Atropos' president and head of product, said the vetting process "will verify the accuracy of novel evidence at scale and allow clinicians to use it to make informed medical decisions and produce better outcomes."

Why Partners Are Integrating This

Meta's health technology vice president Freddy Abnousi said making evidence accessible within workflows will help AI systems "better understand what patients are experiencing in their daily lives and drive more meaningful personalized care."

Vim, a physician workflow platform, said Atropos "cracked" the problem of creating evidence at the scale and specificity that real clinical questions demand.

Humata, a prior authorization company, said integrating the evidence helps "fill clinical data gaps that traditionally cause delays or denials." Autonomize AI said it's helping customers turn workflows "into living systems of evidence-driven intelligence, where decisions are continuously grounded in real-world data."

The Broader Picture

Atropos previously offered these insights through Microsoft Teams, where care teams could access an AI Evidence Agent during meetings. All insights included citations to peer-reviewed studies, with non-peer-reviewed evidence clearly marked for transparency.

Clinical AI company Abridge, another Atropos partner, recently expanded its content partnerships to include the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA Network.
