Canva launches Canva Grow 2.0 AI marketing platform

Canva launched Canva Grow 2.0, a creative marketing automation platform, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on 25 June 2026. The move extends the design giant's push into performance marketing, giving businesses a single workflow to create, publish, and optimize ads across major social platforms.

From ads to insights across platforms

The first Canva Grow debuted in October, integrating directly with LinkedIn, TikTok, and Meta for publishing and campaign insights. The 2.0 release builds on the AI-powered Magic Brief ad platform, letting users generate ads, publish them to multiple channels, and automatically refresh creative based on what's actually driving results. Its integrations with LinkedIn, TikTok, and Meta make it a practical tool for Social Media with AI.

George Howes, head of Canva Grow, said the platform is "about bringing creation, distribution, and optimisation together in one seamless flow, so every campaign is smarter and more effective than the last." He added that businesses can now "go from generating engaging ads to publishing them across multiple platforms, seeing what's working, and automatically refreshing creative based on what's actually driving results."

Acquisitions fuel the full lifecycle

Over the past 12 months, Canva acquired several AI automation platforms, including Ortto, SimTheory, Doohly, and Mango AI. The company aims to combine these technologies to support the entire marketing lifecycle, from creative development through to publishing, measurement, optimisation, and growth. This M&A strategy underpins a full-scale AI for Marketing stack that can handle both creative and performance tasks.

B2B traction and AI platform ranking

Canva's B2B revenue has surpassed $500 million (USD) - about $725 million AUD - and the company now serves more than 95% of the Fortune 500. According to research from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, Canva is the third most used AI platform in the world.

Why this matters for marketing

Canva Grow 2.0 closes the loop between ad creation and campaign performance. Instead of switching between tools to design assets, publish, and analyze results, marketing teams can now run the full cycle in one place. The real shift is the automatic creative refresh: ads that underperform get replaced without manual intervention, cutting the time between insight and action. For marketers managing paid social at scale, that means less time on production and more time on strategy.
