Centric Software launches AI platform for product teams
Centric Software released Centric AI Studio on May 22, a generative AI platform that connects image generation directly to product data, approvals and workflows. The system integrates with Centric's existing product lifecycle management (PLM) software, allowing design, sourcing and commerce teams to work in parallel rather than sequentially.
The platform addresses a real problem in product development: standalone AI tools generate images quickly, but those images sit disconnected from the product data, specifications and approval processes teams need to move products to market. Centric AI Studio embeds the AI into the workflow itself.
What teams can do with it
Product development teams can generate sketches, colorways and product variants in seconds. The system creates on-model and lifestyle imagery with less reliance on photoshoots. Merchandising and assortment reviews move faster because visuals stay linked to live product data throughout development.
Suppliers see connected specification and development visuals, which tightens collaboration. All outputs remain tied to PLM data and approval workflows, so nothing goes off-track.
Who's using it
Fashion brands including GANT and g-lab are already running the platform across multiple countries: the United States, Germany, TΓΌrkiye, Sweden and South Africa. Centric targets fashion, apparel, footwear, luxury, outdoor, home, cosmetics, food and beverage brands, plus ODMs and manufacturers.
The shift from sequential to parallel workflows addresses pressure on consumer goods brands to deliver more products and content faster. Fragmented tools and manual handoffs between teams have become a bottleneck.
