Cloud Inventory Launches AI Platform to Bridge ERP and Warehouse Operations
Cloud Inventory announced a new AI-Native Inventory Management Platform designed to give companies warehouse control without deploying a full warehouse management system. The platform sits between a company's ERP system and its warehouse floor, handling inventory tracking, operations, and data visibility from a single interface.
The move targets mid-market companies that need advanced warehouse functionality but lack the budget or complexity tolerance for a complete WMS overhaul. Cloud Inventory President Brent DiBartolo said the platform lets customers "enhance their ERP deployments and gain significant inventory control and visibility without the major lift of implementing an entire WMS system."
Core Features
The platform tracks inventory at the transaction level with real-time validation. Mobile-first design eliminates paper-based processes by putting information directly into workers' hands-whether they're in the warehouse, on a truck, or in the field.
Barcode scanning for picking, packing, and shipping reduces errors and overtime. Wave planning increases pick efficiency by releasing work in batches and cutting unnecessary travel. The system enforces label accuracy from receiving through shipping, helping companies avoid retailer chargebacks.
Customizations carry over with each platform upgrade, preventing the need to rebuild workflows after updates.
AI Capabilities
The platform includes two native AI agents and automation features. AI-assisted wave management connects to an AI agent to create wave plans based on order volume, staffing levels, and carrier arrival times. AI-assisted image analysis lets teams upload photos of pallets and inventory so AI can assess condition and authenticity.
ERP Integration
The platform connects to Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, IFS, Infor, Oracle E-Business Suite, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Cloud Inventory also continues developing its Mobile Enterprise Platform and Enterprise Printing Platform, with updates including advanced filters and batch item additions in App Studio. The company maintains support for its ScanWorkX D365 warehouse solutions.
For AI for management roles, the platform's real-time visibility and automated wave planning directly address operational oversight and staffing optimization challenges.
