Clouted Raises $7M to Automate Social Video Marketing
Clouted, a startup that automates short-form video marketing, closed a $7 million seed round led by Slow Ventures. Gold House Ventures, Weekend Fund, and Peak XV's Surge also participated in the round.
The company coordinates a network of over 100,000 freelance video editors and determines where to distribute clips across social platforms. Its AI tests different formats and audience strategies to refine campaigns over time.
CEO Justin Banusing built the technology while marketing &Friends, an electronic music festival in Manila that now draws more than 20,000 attendees. He sees Clouted's longer-term competition as enterprise marketing infrastructure companies like CreatorIQ and Hightouch.
Clouted was backed by a16z's Speedrun accelerator before this funding round.
What This Means for Marketers
The funding reflects investor confidence in AI tools that handle video production at scale. For marketing teams, this signals a shift toward automated coordination of creative assets and distribution decisions.
Video remains the dominant content format across social platforms. Tools that reduce the manual work of managing editors, testing variations, and choosing distribution channels address a persistent bottleneck in campaign execution.
