Sports Tech Startup CoachChatt Raises Second Funding Round

CoachChatt, a communication monitoring platform for youth and amateur sports organizations, has launched its second round of funding. The Los Angeles-based company is in active discussions with selected investors as the communication safety category gains traction in the sports technology market.

The platform consolidates text messaging, phone calls, and video calling into a single system for coaches, athletes, parents, and sports administrators. Currently, sports organizations use it to manage practice updates, game schedules, attendance tracking, and policy announcements across one interface rather than multiple disconnected tools.

How the platform works

Coaches send operational updates through CoachChatt. Administrators coordinate registrations and volunteer scheduling. Parents and athletes receive real-time notifications in one consistent channel, reducing missed messages.

The platform includes AI-powered monitoring designed to flag potentially inappropriate interactions across messaging, calls, and video. It also offers game livestreaming, practice recording capabilities, and shared media galleries for team footage and photos.

CoachChatt built the system around a privacy-first architecture. The company says this approach maintains organizational visibility while protecting personal data-a shift toward dedicated infrastructure for communication integrity and athlete safety in youth sports.

Leadership and strategy

Co-founders MJ A. Cole and Stephanie Brockermeyer lead the company. Cole brings experience scaling high-growth companies and expanding revenue. Brockermeyer specializes in business development and has built multi-state operations.

"Communication is one of the most important systems within any sports organization," Brockermeyer said. "Creating a structured and safe environment for that communication helps teams operate with more clarity, trust, and accountability."

The company is selectively engaging strategic investors who align with its long-term vision and understand the risks of unstructured communication in youth athletics.
