Constant Contact launches connector in Claude for AI-driven marketing

Constant Contact launched its connector inside Claude on September 10, 2026, letting small business and nonprofit marketers build email campaigns and social posts through Anthropic's AI assistant. The integration cuts out the back-and-forth between tools - describe your business, audience, and goal in a Claude conversation, and get a finished draft back without leaving the chat.

The connector is available now to existing Constant Contact customers who work in Claude. One click sends the draft into Constant Contact for list selection, final edits, and delivery. "Small businesses don't work in just one place, and their tools shouldn't ask them to," said Lee Ott, Head of Product & AI at Constant Contact.

What the connector does

The integration turns a Claude conversation into a campaign builder. A marketer describes their business and what they want to achieve, and Claude produces a draft email or social post. Live desktop and mobile previews appear inside the chat so the user can refine copy, imagery, and layout before handing it off.

Claude also suggests channel-specific elements: subject lines and preheader text for email, platform-appropriate captions for social, and calls to action built for conversion. Social drafts support TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Users can pull images from Claude directly into Constant Contact's My Library for reuse across email and social content.

"Bringing Constant Contact into Claude means customers can build a complete campaign without ever leaving a conversation they're already having, then send it through Constant Contact. We handle the deliverability, reporting and results," Ott said.

How the workflow changes

Previously, a marketer might brainstorm copy in one place, switch to Constant Contact to build the email, then jump to a social scheduler for posts. The Claude connector collapses those steps. You stay in the conversation, iterate with the AI, and push the final draft to Constant Contact when it is ready to send or publish.

This matters for small teams where one person handles email, social, and events. The connector does not replace Constant Contact's campaign management - list segmentation, scheduling, analytics, and deliverability still live there. It removes the friction of starting from a blank template.

Why this matters for marketers

For marketers at small businesses and nonprofits, the bottleneck is rarely ideas. It is the time it takes to turn an idea into a sent campaign. This integration shifts drafting into the same conversational flow where planning already happens. The draft arrives with channel-aware structure - subject lines that aim for opens, captions that fit platform norms - so the marketer edits rather than starts from scratch.

Constant Contact has been layering AI into its platform for content generation and audience targeting. The Claude connector extends that capability into a workspace many marketers already use for research, writing, and strategy.
