CRAFTSMAN+ and AppMagic Partner to Automate Creative Scoring for Mobile Ads
CRAFTSMAN+, an ad creative platform for mobile gaming, announced a partnership with AppMagic, a mobile market intelligence company, to build an automated system that scores ad creative before money is spent on campaigns. The two companies said the system is the first to combine market-wide creative benchmarking with tap-level playable ad data.
The partnership grants CRAFTSMAN+ exclusive access to AppMagic's database of 230 million ad creatives and performance data across 15 million apps. CRAFTSMAN+ will use this data to train AI models that identify which creative elements and design choices perform best in playable ads.
The Problem: Manual Testing Burns Budgets
Mobile gaming advertisers currently rely on fragmented tools and slow analysis to test ad creative. Most insights surface only after budgets are exhausted. Teams manually test thousands of variations while competitors launch new ads daily, creating pressure to move faster with less data.
AppMagic tracks SDK-level ad distribution, where an estimated 80% of playable ads run. The platform segments performance by game genre, category, and spending level-data that hasn't been available to creative teams at scale before.
How the System Works
The automated system continuously analyzes live ads across the market and tracks competitor campaigns. It combines AppMagic's macro market signals with CRAFTSMAN+'s granular data on how users interact with individual playable ads-which buttons they tap, how long they engage, where they drop off.
The AI is trained on actual winning creatives, not guesses. It delivers daily creative signals without manual analysis, early detection of emerging trends, and single-score benchmarks for comparing creative performance across campaigns.
