Creality Goes Public in Hong Kong, Shifts Focus to AI-Powered Creative Platform

Creality, the 3D printing hardware maker, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on May 29, 2026, raising approximately HK$1.272 billion. The company becomes the first consumer 3D printer manufacturer to debut on the Hong Kong market.

The listing marks a strategic pivot. Creality is moving beyond hardware sales toward a full-stack ecosystem that combines 3D printers, scanners, software, and AI tools. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate AI integration, expand globally, and build out creator platforms where users can monetize designs.

Market Opportunity and Current Position

The consumer 3D printing market reached $6.0 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to $27.2 billion by 2030, according to China Insights Industry Consultancy Limited. That's a 33.2% compound annual growth rate.

Creality ranks second globally in consumer 3D printers with 11.2% market share. The company leads in consumer 3D scanners (45.3% share) and ranks fourth in consumer laser engravers (4.8% share).

Revenue is diversifying. In 2025, scanners grew 76.2% year-over-year and consumables grew 60.0%. Non-printer business now represents 43% of total revenue, up from 25% in 2023. Total group revenue reached RMB 3.13 billion in 2025.

AI Integration Across the Creative Process

Creality claims to be the first in the industry to embed proprietary AI throughout the 3D creation workflow. The company uses generative AI to let users create 3D models from text or images-addressing a core barrier to adoption for non-professional users.

Machine-vision AI monitors material flow during printing, adjusts parameters automatically, and detects failures in real time. In laser engraving, cameras and AI algorithms guide precision and reduce material waste.

Creality Cloud, the company's content community, has 6.2 million registered users and hosts 2.7 million 3D models. Nexbie, an e-commerce platform launched in August 2025, allows creators to sell designs directly within the Creality network.

The company holds 957 patents in China and overseas, focused on optics, motion control, AI, and sensor integration.

Three Strategic Priorities

  • AI acceleration: Deepen AI-powered modeling, intelligent printing, and machine-vision capabilities across products.
  • Global expansion: Scale presence beyond the current 140 countries and regions through localized operations in key markets.
  • Creator economy: Build Creality Cloud and Nexbie into platforms that support creators from ideation to commercial monetization.

The company's products are available in approximately 140 countries and regions.
