Equilar introduces ExecAtlas MCP to connect AI agents with verified executive data

Equilar launched the ExecAtlas MCP in beta on September 17, 2026, giving any AI agent direct access to its database of 4 million executive profiles and 600 million professional connections. The new protocol means HR teams and business development professionals can query verified executive intelligence through the AI assistants they already use, without custom builds or separate logins.

ExecAtlas MCP follows the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI agents to outside data sources. Because the protocol is generic, it works with any MCP-compatible assistant, including Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini. Teams point their agent at the data source and ask questions in plain language.

What the protocol actually does

AI agents are only as good as the data they can reach. ExecAtlas MCP grounds those agents in information sourced from regulatory filings and corporate disclosures, not scraped or self-reported profiles. Through the protocol, an AI agent can look up verified profiles for executives and board members, map relationship networks to find the warmest introduction path to a target executive, and track executive transitions as they happen.

"Account-Based Marketing taught GTM teams to target the right company. The next shift is Executive-Based Marketing, reaching the right executive, at the right company, at the right time," said David Chun, Founder and CEO of Equilar. "GTM teams need accurate data delivered where they already work, in the tools they use every day, to make that connection. ExecAtlas MCP gives them that data to reach the right executive and move deals forward."

Built on 25 years of executive data

ExecAtlas is the dealmaking-focused arm of Equilar, which has spent a quarter-century building executive data solutions. The platform integrates directly with leading CRM systems, keeping executive data current and actionable for sales, marketing, and business development teams. The MCP launch extends that reach into the AI layer that more teams are adopting for research and prospecting workflows.

The protocol-based approach avoids vendor lock-in. Teams can use the AI assistant they prefer, and Equilar plans to expand the MCP's capabilities through the rest of 2026, bringing more executive intelligence into the tools teams already rely on. For organizations exploring how protocols like this fit into broader AI adoption, MCP Courses cover the Model Context Protocol standard in depth. Why this matters for HR professionals

Executive recruiting and succession planning depend on accurate, current data about who sits where and who knows whom. ExecAtlas MCP puts that intelligence inside the AI tools HR teams already use for research, reducing the time spent verifying titles, board seats, and relationship paths across multiple sources. When a leadership gap opens, the team can query an AI agent for verified profiles and warm introduction routes immediately, rather than waiting for a research desk or manually cross-checking LinkedIn against SEC filings. For HR leaders managing executive talent pipelines, the difference is speed to a qualified shortlist backed by data that holds up under scrutiny.
