Featured Launches AI Co-Pilot for PR Work
Featured, a platform built on Help a Reporter Out (HARO) and Connectively, launched an AI co-pilot today that automates media placement work for PR professionals and subject-matter experts. The tool aggregates journalist requests, podcast opportunities, bylined articles, speaking engagements, and other media channels into a single interface.
Users describe what they're looking for in plain language. Featured's AI surfaces matching opportunities, drafts pitches, and sends outreach through connected email inboxes or native integrations. The platform handles monitoring journalist requests, researching podcasts, and navigating submission requirements for each outlet.
The AI Search Shift
Featured's timing reflects a shift in how AI systems value information. As ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude reach hundreds of millions of weekly users, these systems increasingly cite earned media when providing answers. PR is no longer a separate channel from AI visibility-it's become the primary engine for it.
"PR used to mean making the front page of a newspaper or a search engine results page," said Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured. "Now it means being cited by AI, and earned media is the through-line."
Pricing and Rollout
Featured uses a usage-based subscription model that scales with the volume of work rather than charging per seat. This pricing structure targets boutique PR firms and in-house communications teams.
The platform is available now at featured.com. HARO and Connectively continue operating as standalone products within Featured's portfolio.
Future Scope
The company plans to expand the co-pilot across narrative planning, messaging frameworks, reporting, crisis communications, event management, and investor relations. Farmiloe described the goal as "a single operating system for visibility, where earned media, AI visibility, and the rest of PR converge."
