Fotor launches AI platform targeting product-based businesses and performance marketers

Fotor, a creative software company with 45 million monthly active users, announced the launch of its AI Vibe Marketing Platform on May 20. The platform automates the creation of product images, marketing videos, and campaign assets designed to convert browsers into buyers.

The company positions the tool as a direct competitor to Adobe and Canva in the AI-driven marketing technology space. Fotor projects 2026 revenue of approximately $95 million and a valuation near $900 million.

Two core product suites

The platform includes a Product Visuals suite and a Growth Visuals suite. Product Visuals handles the fundamentals: transforming raw product photos into studio-quality images, generating e-commerce listings for platforms like Amazon, and creating virtual try-on videos for fashion brands.

The virtual model feature eliminates the need to book models and studios. A single image becomes campaign-ready assets across channels through a batch editor that maintains visual consistency at scale.

Growth Visuals focuses on marketing campaigns. Features include a tool that generates product videos from URLs, pre-designed cinematic templates engineered for social media, and a UGC Avatar feature that deploys virtual brand ambassadors.

Research credentials in a crowded market

The global AI image generator market is valued at $12.4 billion in 2026 and is projected to grow at over 32% annually. Fotor competes against OpenAI, Photoroom, and the AI features built into Adobe and Canva's existing products.

Fotor's AI research team has published papers at NeurIPS 2025, CVPR 2025, and ICLR 2026. A NeurIPS 2025 Spotlight paper placed the company in the top 3.2% of submissions, providing technical credibility for the platform's claims about reliability in commercial workflows.

The company's strategy differs from standalone image generators. It offers an end-to-end workflow specifically built for product-based businesses and performance marketers who need measurable results, not artistic novelty.

Market adoption signals

Sixty-two percent of marketers already use generative AI for image creation, according to industry data cited in the announcement. Fotor is betting that as AI moves from experimental tool to essential infrastructure, businesses will choose integrated, performance-focused solutions.

Scott Bales, an Etsy seller featured in the company's announcement, said the platform "makes a one-person company viable." His testimony points to the core value: providing a visual operations hub for entrepreneurs with limited budgets.

The platform is available now on Fotor's website and mobile applications.
