Freepik rebrands as Magnific, unifying AI creative tools for enterprise and individual creators

Freepik announced its relaunch as Magnific on Tuesday, consolidating its image generation, video, upscaling, and collaboration tools into a single platform. The company now operates at $200 million in annual recurring revenue with more than 1 million paid subscribers and 250 enterprise clients including BBC, DeliveryHero, Guess, and Huel.

The rebrand reflects a shift from fragmented tools to integrated creative infrastructure. CEO Joaquín Cuenca said the previous identity obscured the company's full capabilities: "People saw fragments: Freepik as stock, Magnific as an upscaler. This is the first time the full system is visible as one platform."

Enterprise teams move beyond experimentation

Creative teams at major brands are no longer testing AI tools-they're running production workflows on Magnific. BBC, DeliveryHero, Huel, R/GA, Damm, and Job&Talent generate assets, prototype visuals, and scale content across campaigns using the platform.

The company's Business plan for smaller teams surpassed 2,000 subscriptions in six weeks after launching in January 2026 and continues adding 150 new teams per week.

A new class of creators emerges

Seventy-two percent of new creators joining Magnific identify as beginners. The shift signals a structural change: high-quality creative production no longer requires a studio, team, or significant capital investment.

Cuenca frames this as the "no-collar economy"-distinct from both blue-collar and white-collar work. "Creatives are about to become more powerful than anyone expected," he said. The comparison to previous technological shifts is direct: the digital revolution didn't replace accountants; it multiplied them and allowed them to take on more complex work.

The platform integrates image and video generation, 4K output with audio, industry-leading upscaling, real-time collaboration, 3D and virtual scene tools, and a library of 250 million creative assets.
