Fusion Connect has introduced a flat-fee pricing model for its AI-powered Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform, replacing the token- and usage-based pricing that has made AI costs difficult to predict. The company says the model is designed to remove one of the biggest barriers to enterprise AI adoption: the uncertainty of monthly bills.
Most AI software is priced by usage, with customers charged according to token consumption rate cards that vary by capability and frequency of use. For many organizations, that makes it hard to estimate costs before deployment - and the uncertainty can slow or stop AI projects entirely. Fusion Connect's approach instead offers predictable monthly pricing, so customers know what they'll pay before they start.
"Organizations shouldn't need a data scientist or financial model just to understand what their AI investment will cost," said John Nee, Chief Marketing Officer of Fusion Connect. "Our goal is simple: remove the complexity from AI purchasing so customers can focus on improving customer experiences-not deciphering pricing models or worrying about unexpected cost overruns."
Why contact centers are the starting point
Contact centers are a natural fit for AI because they handle thousands of repetitive, business-critical conversations every day - billing inquiries, technical support, account management, scheduling, and returns. That volume generates large amounts of conversational data, and agents often answer the same questions repeatedly.
AI can analyze that data, automate routine tasks, and assist agents in real time. For organizations, that means reduced manual effort, better first-call resolution, shorter wait times, and more consistent customer experiences.
AI capabilities available now
Fusion Connect's platform includes four AI features. Agent AI Assistance gives customer service representatives real-time guidance by surfacing relevant information and suggested responses during live conversations. Navigator AI uses natural language to understand a caller's intent, resolve requests autonomously, and route customers to the right representative - replacing traditional "Press 1, Press 2" IVR menus.
Autopilot Agentic AI automates routine customer interactions without a live agent, letting organizations respond faster to common inquiries while freeing human representatives for higher-value work. CX AI Analytics automatically analyzes customer conversations to identify trends, service opportunities, coaching insights, and quality issues, so supervisors don't have to manually review thousands of recorded calls.
How the pricing works
Core AI features - Agent AI Assistance and CX AI Analytics - are priced on a straightforward monthly per-seat basis. High-volume automation services like Autopilot Agentic AI and AI-powered call routing use simple monthly packages based on anticipated call volumes. No token calculations, no usage meters.
Frederic Dickey, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Fusion Connect, said the goal is to let customers focus on business value. "Organizations want to understand the business value AI delivers-not spend time estimating token consumption or worrying about unexpected invoices. Our pricing model removes that uncertainty and gives customers a clear path toward broader AI adoption."
The simplified pricing also benefits Fusion Connect's network of technology advisors and channel partners, who can quote solutions faster and focus conversations on business outcomes instead of pricing mechanics.
Why this matters for customer support professionals
If you work in customer support, the shift to flat-fee AI pricing removes a practical obstacle to getting AI tools in your organization. Instead of building a business case around unpredictable usage-based costs, you can evaluate AI on what it actually does: reducing repetitive work, speeding up resolutions, and improving customer experience. For those looking to build the skills to work alongside these tools, an AI Learning Path for Call Center Supervisors covers the practical applications of AI in contact center environments. And for broader context on how AI is reshaping the field, the AI for Customer Support category tracks the latest developments in automation and agent assistance.
