Healio partners with NPACE to integrate AI into continuing education
Healio and the Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE) have partnered to add Healio AI to NPACE's in-person and on-demand continuing medical education programs. The integration launches as clinician adoption of AI accelerates across healthcare.
Healio AI is a HIPAA-compliant tool updated daily with medical research, studies, and expert perspectives. It provides healthcare professionals with current data to support evidence-based decisions at the point of care.
The partnership addresses a shift in clinical practice. AMA survey data shows clinician use of AI grew from 33% to 66% between 2023 and 2024.
Josh Plotkin, NPACE chief operating officer, said the tool will enhance professional development across the organization's platforms. "AI is quickly ascending to the forefront of being used by advanced practice providers," he said in a press release.
Joan-Marie Stiglich, Healio's chief AI officer, said the company built the tool to integrate trusted clinical intelligence into daily healthcare workflows. "As an organization with a 125-year legacy of delivering trusted medical news and education, we are proud to partner with NPACE to help advance continuing education through responsible, clinician-centered AI innovation," she said.
The collaboration reflects shared goals around continuing education. Both organizations aim to equip advanced practice providers with technology-driven tools that improve learning and patient outcomes.
