InMobi Acquires MobileAction to Strengthen iOS App Marketing Tools

InMobi has acquired MobileAction, an AI-driven app analytics platform, to expand its advertising capabilities for brands seeking users in the iOS ecosystem. The company announced the deal on May 7.

MobileAction, founded in 2013 and based in San Francisco, provides analytics and optimization tools focused on Apple Ads and App Store Optimization. The platform analyzes data across more than 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, and 5 million apps.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Following the acquisition, MobileAction will operate as a dedicated platform within the InMobi Group, with teams across the United States, Europe, and Turkey joining the parent company.

What This Means for Marketers

The acquisition directly addresses a shift toward AI-led decision-making in app marketing. MobileAction's platform is already used by major brands including Google, Meta, DoorDash, Block, Zalando, Playtika, and Priceline.

InMobi plans to invest further in product development and expand MobileAction's reach in the United States, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Rohit Dosi, Vice President and General Manager at InMobi, said the combination positions the company to help marketers "drive sustainable, intelligent growth in an agentic world." Aykut Karaalioglu, MobileAction's founder and CEO, emphasized the shared focus on data-driven decision-making and customer impact.

For marketing professionals managing iOS app growth, the integration connects two platforms: InMobi's advertising network with MobileAction's analytics and optimization capabilities. This consolidation may simplify workflows for teams running campaigns across both organic and paid channels.
