Hub International Limited has appointed Faizal Mitha as vice president of AI Sales Innovation, effective July 1, 2026. The role focuses on scaling the adoption of artificial intelligence tools among sales producers to anticipate risk, respond faster, and drive organic revenue growth.
Mitha will help scale the success producers are having with Anthropic's Claude platform, which HUB deployed to employees in the fourth quarter of 2025. He will build resources, tools, and training across HUB's Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Private Client, Retirement & Private Wealth, and Employee Benefits divisions.
"AI is a force multiplier for serving clients better, amplifying what our producers already do well by helping them anticipate risk, respond faster, and bring sharper insights to every client and prospect conversation," said Marc Cohen, president and CEO of HUB. Mitha will work with HUB's AI and Automation Team to track adoption and measure the impact on new business. He brings over two decades of experience, previously serving as chief sales and innovation officer of HUB Canada Employee Benefits and Retirement.
Wealth management consolidation and growth
Beyond HUB, other financial services firms are restructuring to support advisor sales efforts. Hightower Advisors is building out its Family Office division to provide ultra-high-net-worth clients with institutional investment consulting, advanced planning, and tax strategy. This builds on Hightower's 2024 investment in NEPC and a relationship with GTBA.
MAI Capital Management is acquiring Connecticut-based Saybrook Wealth Group, which holds approximately $273 million in assets under management. Saybrook founder Stephen Norton will join MAI as a senior wealth advisor, gaining access to MAI's operational and technological infrastructure. Meanwhile, Alliant Insurance Services launched Retirement & Wealth at Alliant, a new line of business linking institutional retirement plan relationships with individual wealth advisory services.
Senior hires drive institutional focus
Pete Kokolus joined Mason Investment Advisory Services as a senior investment consultant. He previously held roles at Vanguard Institutional Advisory Services and Mercer, bringing 16 years of investment consulting experience to work with foundations, endowments, and retirement plans.
Lumos Insurance appointed Tom Kenny as managing director and senior vice president of Global Retirement and Protection. Kenny, formerly of Just Group plc, will establish Lumos' reinsurance operations to support senior-market and retirement business growth in the UK, US, and globally.
Why this matters for sales professionals
The creation of a dedicated VP of AI for Sales at a major brokerage signals that firms are moving past experimental AI pilots. Sales teams should expect leadership to demand measurable adoption metrics and direct ties between AI tool usage and organic revenue growth. Mastering these platforms will soon transition from an optional skill to a baseline requirement for client acquisition and retention.
