Kenyan Entrepreneur Launches Hybrid AI Platform for Customer Support

Sila Kironji co-founded Intelli, an AI-powered customer relationship management platform that launched in 2024. The platform centralizes customer interactions across WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, email and websites through a single interface.

Intelli combines automated AI support with human agents for complex requests. When a customer's question exceeds the AI assistant's capabilities, a human agent takes over the conversation immediately.

How the Platform Works

Companies configure Intelli's intelligent assistant without requiring advanced technical knowledge. Businesses train the assistant by importing internal documents, FAQs and operational information.

Once deployed, the assistant provides consistent responses across multiple channels around the clock. The system handles repetitive tasks while freeing human agents to focus on complex issues.

Analytics and Performance Tracking

Intelli includes analytics tools that track message volumes, activity peaks, customer engagement and agent efficiency. Support teams use this data to optimize their response strategies.

The platform prioritizes WhatsApp integration and offers live messaging systems for websites, reflecting where many customers prefer to communicate.

About the Founder

Kironji holds two bachelor's degrees in aeronautical engineering from Kenya Aeronautical College and Shenyang Aerospace University. He previously worked as a drone development engineer and chief technology officer at Kenya Flying Labs between 2020 and 2023.

Beyond Intelli, Kironji co-founded Hotspot Aerial Solutions in 2023, a company using data and AI for sector-specific solutions. He also participates in the OpenAI Community Forum, which connects AI professionals with students.

For customer support professionals, Intelli represents one approach to AI for Customer Support that maintains human oversight. The hybrid model addresses a core challenge: automating routine inquiries while preserving quality for cases that require judgment and empathy.
