KNB Communications Rebrands as Sōvyn After Acquiring Canadian Digital Agency

KNB Communications acquired Canada-based digital agency Roketto and rebranded as Sōvyn, consolidating expertise across public relations, digital strategy, and search optimization for healthcare, life sciences, and technology clients.

The deal adds Roketto's capabilities in generative engine optimization (GEO), web design, digital advertising, and inbound marketing to KNB's existing PR and marketing operations. Sundeep Bhan and Shirin Bhan invested alongside KNB Communications to fund the transaction.

What Each Company Brought

KNB Communications, founded in 1998, has focused on PR and marketing for healthcare, biotech, medical device, and health technology organizations. Roketto operated for more than 15 years serving SaaS, B2B, ecommerce, manufacturing, and technology companies through inbound marketing, website design, SEO, and content marketing.

The new entity combines both firms' capabilities into a single service offering: public relations, branding, marketing, SEO, GEO, web development, automation, analytics, and digital strategy.

Why Now

Sōvyn said the acquisition responds to fundamental shifts in how companies reach audiences. Traditional PR and marketing tactics no longer cut through the noise, according to the company. Search behavior has changed with AI-powered results and zero-click environments, requiring different approaches.

Chintan Shah, president and CEO, said the combination lets the firm help clients "navigate an increasingly complex communications landscape while offering a more integrated suite of services."

The Name

Sōvyn derives from the Greek word "sophos," meaning wisdom and expertise, paired with a Latin-inspired reference to innovation and intelligence.

Existing clients from both organizations will continue working with their current teams during the transition.
