E-commerce startup Kopa.ai raises €2 million to build AI marketing platform
Kopa.ai has closed a €2 million pre-seed funding round to develop AI tools for e-commerce marketing and operations. The startup plans to use the capital to expand its team and accelerate product development.
XTX Ventures, Practica Capital, Inovia Capital, and Lost Astronaut backed the round. The investment reflects investor appetite for AI applications in commerce, where companies are adopting the technology to improve customer acquisition and streamline workflows.
What the startup does
Kopa.ai builds software that helps online retailers manage marketing and operational tasks using AI. The platform targets businesses looking to automate complex functions and improve decision-making.
CEO Donatas Benaitis said the team spent the past year building and refining the platform. "Our team has worked incredibly hard over the past 12 months," he said. "We know this is only the beginning, but it feels like an important milestone to pause and celebrate."
What's next
The startup plans to hire, enhance its technology, and expand its customer base. E-commerce companies are increasingly turning to AI for Marketing and AI Agents & Automation to handle repetitive tasks and improve campaign performance.
Benaitis acknowledged that building for the AI-commerce space presents challenges but also opportunities for innovation. The company views the funding as validation of its approach rather than a finish line.
