Lytx adds AI, compliance, and asset tracking tools to LytxOne platform

Lytx added a Fleet AI Assistant, asset tracking for trailers and equipment, and automated IFTA reporting to its LytxOne platform. The updates give fleet managers natural-language querying of safety events, vehicle proximity search, and unified compliance tools to simplify audits and roadside inspections.

Safety tools and AI assistant

The new Fleet AI Assistant lets users ask questions about drivers, vehicles, maintenance, compliance, and safety events in plain language. It pulls data from across the platform to surface relevant information without requiring manual report runs.

Safety enhancements also include configurable camera privacy controls that activate based on schedules or geofences. Fleets can detect risk without recording video, review incidents with picture-in-picture playback, and see speed context for safety events.

Asset tracking and operational visibility

LytxOne now tracks trailers, containers, tools, and other equipment. A vehicle proximity search helps dispatchers find nearby vehicles quickly, while a multiple trips view lets fleets compare routes side by side using summarized performance metrics.

Compliance automation

The platform includes automated IFTA reporting, integrated driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), fuel reporting, and mileage tracking. Unified compliance management is designed to simplify audits and roadside checks by consolidating documentation in one place.

"Fleet management is entering a new era, where safety, operations, and compliance must work as one," said Chris Cabrera, CEO of Lytx. "With LytxOne, we're building the platform to power that future."

Lytx also said it has begun integrating its Driver Safety Program into the LytxOne platform. Existing DriveCam and Lytx+ customers will keep their current safety capabilities and have multiple platform options to fit their operational needs.

Why this matters for management

Fleet managers now have a single interface to query safety data in plain language, locate assets, and automate compliance paperwork. The AI assistant reduces the time spent digging through reports, while automated IFTA and DVIR features cut manual data entry. For managers building their AI literacy, resources like AI for Transportation Managers offer structured guidance on applying these tools in daily operations.
