Neptune Launches AI Tool to Help Insurance Agents Sell Flood Coverage

Neptune Insurance Holdings rolled out Atlas+, an AI-powered assistant built into its agent portal, to help insurance professionals sell flood insurance with greater speed and confidence. The tool generates sales scripts, drafts personalized emails, and explains coverage options in plain language.

Atlas+ operates directly within the quote screen, where agents spend most of their time. Rather than toggling between multiple systems or manually searching for property details, agents can ask the tool questions about specific quotes, request recommendations, or generate customer-facing explanations tailored to individual properties.

What agents can do with Atlas+

  • Generate customer-ready sales scripts and personalized emails
  • Compare coverage and deductible options
  • Receive talking points specific to each quote
  • Interact with quotes using natural language, including voice dictation
  • Ask questions about flood risk and coverage for a particular property

The tool draws on Neptune's proprietary data foundation: tens of millions of processed quotes and more than one million policies. This dataset informs how Atlas+ explains flood risk and guides customers through a purchase that many find confusing or unfamiliar.

Trevor Burgess, Neptune's chairman and CEO, said the tool addresses a core problem in flood insurance distribution. "Agents are the front line of flood insurance education in the United States," he said. "By putting AI directly into their workflow, we are giving them the tools to be more knowledgeable, more efficient, and more effective in every customer conversation."

Broader rollout planned

The initial launch focuses on the quote screen. Neptune plans to expand Atlas+ across additional workflows in coming weeks and months, allowing agents to manage portfolios, access more data, and automate routine tasks.

Jean-Luc Eckstein, Neptune's chief customer officer, said the tool is not a standalone chatbot but "the beginning of a new interaction layer across the Neptune platform." Over time, he said, it will become central to how agents manage their business and understand their customers.

Millions of U.S. property owners lack flood insurance, often because the buying process is misunderstood or overlooked entirely. Neptune positions Atlas+ as a way to close that knowledge gap and expand flood insurance adoption. The tool is available nationwide to agents using Neptune's platform.
