Oracle Academy presented a session on artificial intelligence in education at the inaugural Education Changemakers Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, on June 16, 2026, and announced a new AI filter in its Member Hub Course Catalog to help educators locate AI-focused teaching resources.

The event, hosted by the Regional Leadership Center East Africa (RLC EA) and the Trevor Noah Foundation at Kenyatta University Conference Center, drew educators, development partners, policymakers, and young leaders. AI's role in reshaping classrooms

Lorna Juma, Oracle Academy Program Manager, Africa, led the featured session on 'The Role of AI in Education.' She described how artificial intelligence is changing teaching and learning by enabling personalized learning experiences, improving access to digital education tools, and supporting data-driven decision-making in schools. Juma said preparing young people for a digital future means equipping them with technology and AI-related skills. She stressed that partnerships between the private sector, educational institutions, and policymakers are essential to keep innovation inclusive and accessible to underserved communities across Africa.
