Orum, the AI-powered calling platform used by more than 1,200 sales teams, acquired Scout AI on July 15, 2026. The deal aims to solve a persistent problem for sales reps: wasting hours dialing wrong or outdated phone numbers because the data they work from can't be trusted.

The data trust problem

Sales reps lose time every day chasing dead ends. The phone numbers in their CRM are often scattered across disconnected tools, outdated, or simply incorrect. Adding more data providers hasn't fixed the core issue - the information still isn't reliable enough to act on without double-checking.
