Overwatch AI raises $1.5M to consolidate airline operations data
Overwatch AI, a startup building AI tools for airline operations teams, raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding from United Airlines Ventures, Baobab Ventures, Pegasus Innovation Lab, and Masia. The platform helps pilots, cabin crew, and operations managers find operational information scattered across multiple systems.
The company's software lets users query information using natural language to access technical issues, airport requirements, and weather data. Instead of jumping between fragmented systems, airline teams get answers consolidated in one interface.
CEO Leo Kotil, a former pilot, described the problem directly: "You are trawling through various apps and systems based on outdated software, trying to piece together the information you need to take action."
The platform is already in live use across multiple airlines. Based on current usage, Overwatch AI says the system saves airlines up to $4 million annually and increases crew productivity by 6.6%.
The company was founded in July 2025. It plans to use the funding to expand its team, scale delivery, and add more airlines as customers.
Angel investors in the round include David Bennett, former chief commercial officer at Tenstorrent, and Alex Brooker, former vice president at Cirium.
