Pitchr.ai and Flywheel Partner to Serve Early-Stage Fintech Founders

Pitchr.ai, a fintech PR consultancy, and Flywheel, a founder-led content agency, announced a partnership on May 13 to offer integrated PR and social media services for early-stage fintech companies. The offering targets founders who need sustained visibility across multiple channels but lack the budget for traditional agency retainers.

Pitchr handles media relations, founder profile building, and conference speaking opportunities. Flywheel produces social content and manages distribution, using proprietary technology to track engagement and connect content to pipeline activity. The two firms say this arrangement creates a feedback loop: earned media coverage feeds into social content that reinforces founder credibility, which in turn helps secure additional media opportunities.

How AI Factors Into Pricing

Both firms deploy AI to reduce costs. Pitchr uses it across its communications workflow to deliver what it describes as senior-level service comparable to a three-person account team at a traditional PR agency. Flywheel's technology qualifies audiences and attributes content performance to business outcomes.

The pricing model reflects this efficiency. Rather than charging enterprise-level fees, the partnership targets companies that traditional PR agencies often ignore.

The Market Gap

Sam Barber, founder of Pitchr.ai, said many companies hire PR agencies too early, spending money without measurable return. "Founders are the most valuable growth lever a fintech company has," he said.

Alex Saunders, cofounder of Flywheel, framed the problem differently: "Startups are sitting on the most valuable distribution channel their company will ever have, and most of them barely use it."

The partnership assumes the media environment has fragmented enough that no single channel reaches the customers, investors, and hires an early-stage company needs. Building visibility now requires presence across multiple platforms sustained over time.

Both firms operate on both sides of the Atlantic. Pitchr works with fintech, banking, payments, and capital markets companies. Flywheel serves Series A to scale-up companies in fintech, B2B SaaS, and AI.

For communications professionals evaluating PR strategy or founder-led content approaches, this model illustrates how two specialized firms can address gaps the traditional agency structure leaves open. See AI for PR & Communications and Social Media for related coverage.
