Prezent Expands Beyond Presentations With AI-Powered Life Sciences Communications Platform
Prezent launched Prezent Vivo on April 28, a communications platform that combines purpose-built AI with domain experts to produce materials across the full product lifecycle for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The company, which works with 45 of the top 50 BioPharma firms, appointed Francine Carrick, a 22-year medical communications veteran, as president of the new division.
The platform addresses a practical problem in Life Sciences communications: teams choose between general-purpose AI that works fast but lacks scientific precision, or traditional agencies that deliver quality but move slowly. Prezent Vivo attempts to eliminate that tradeoff.
How the Platform Works
Prezent Vivo combines two components. Astrid AI, a purpose-built agent trained on regulatory language, clinical evidence structures, and brand compliance, generates first drafts from enterprise tools teams already use. Human experts-presentation engineers, medical communications specialists, and medical writers-review and refine the output for scientific accuracy and strategic narrative.
The platform offers three engagement models:
- Self-serve AI access for teams creating presentations, posters, and documents independently
- Overnight turnaround, where clients submit drafts by end of day and receive finished materials by morning
- Fixed-price projects with embedded experts for critical initiatives like clinical data visualization or national sales meetings
Cost and Efficiency Claims
BioPharma clients report 35%-85% cost reductions compared to traditional agencies, the company said. For medical communications agencies, the platform addresses a structural problem: senior experts spend up to 40 percent of their time on production work like formatting and first-draft generation. Prezent Vivo aims to recapture that time, allowing agencies to handle three times the project volume per writer without hiring additional staff.
"Astrid handles the production layer so their experts can focus on the scientific strategy and narrative craft that justifies their rates," CEO Rajat Mishra said.
The Hire
Carrick previously spent two decades in medical communications and will oversee commercial strategy and client partnerships. She cited the industry's shift toward infrastructure that elevates expert work rather than simply scaling output.
Prezent serves more than 150 Life Sciences companies and operates from Palo Alto, California. The platform expands the company's original focus on presentations to cover congress posters, scientific documents, brochures, medical science liaison decks, and advisory board materials.
