Publicis Groupe opens AI hub in Singapore to build marketing technology
Publicis Groupe APAC launched an AI development hub in Singapore on April 24, 2026, to build and scale proprietary marketing technologies for the Asia Pacific region and globally. The hub will employ engineers, data scientists, and product designers to embed AI across data, identity, media, and content infrastructure.
The Singapore Economic Development Board backed the initiative, which aligns with Singapore's National AI Strategy 2.0. The move reflects AI adoption rates in Southeast Asia outpacing global averages-73% of Southeast Asian companies are piloting or scaling AI, compared with 57% globally, according to a joint 2026 survey by EDB and McKinsey.
Building on existing data infrastructure
Publicis Groupe's foundation for the hub rests on years of investment in data and technology. The 2025 acquisition of Lotame, a global data and identity platform, combined with Epsilon's data footprint, expanded the group's identity intelligence to nearly four billion individuals-covering about 90% of consumers worldwide.
The hub will develop AI-driven solutions for creative optimization, content development, influencer marketing, and media planning. Workflows developed by the hub are projected to reduce manual campaign execution time by 20-30% across regional teams.
Talent development and hiring
The hub will create new roles rather than replace existing ones. Publicis Groupe plans to partner with Singapore's higher education institutions to develop a pipeline of digital talent through internships and applied research opportunities in AI, data science, and human-centered design.
Sapna Nemani, chief solutions officer at Publicis Groupe APAC, said the hub focuses on making "AI practical, secure and scalable for our teams and our clients." Amrita Randhawa, CEO of Publicis Groupe Singapore and Southeast Asia, said the company is "not just adopting AI, we are shaping how it is used in a way that is trusted, responsible and grounded in strong fundamentals."
For IT and development professionals, the hub represents a concrete example of how enterprises are organizing AI for IT & Development at scale. The infrastructure work-integrating Generative AI and LLM capabilities across marketing platforms-mirrors technical challenges teams face when deploying AI across distributed systems.
