Reallusion Launches AI Studio to Give 3D Artists Control Over Generative Video
Reallusion released AI Studio on May 25, giving 3D animators and character designers a way to use their existing skills as generative AI handles visual production. The platform integrates multiple AI video models directly into iClone and Character Creator, Reallusion's flagship 3D software.
The core problem the platform addresses: generative video models often fail when handling complex camera movements, character motion, and spatial consistency. AI Studio uses 3D scenes as what Reallusion calls a "Precision Control Layer," letting artists define exact camera paths, character positions, and scene layouts before AI generates the final visuals.
How the 3D-to-AI Workflow Works
Reallusion partnered with ByteDance to integrate Seedance 2.0, a video generation model designed to interpret spatial data from 3D scenes. When an artist exports camera paths and skeletal data from iClone, Seedance 2.0 reads that structural information and generates video that maintains geometric accuracy and perspective consistency.
The platform includes over 5,000 pre-optimized 3D assets-environments, characters, props, and furnishings-that artists can arrange in 3D before writing any text prompts. This eliminates randomness in AI environment generation and ensures the final output matches the director's intent.
AI Studio also supports multiple generative video models including Kling AI, Veo 3, Wan, LTX, and Scail, plus Flux and Nano Banana for image generation. Artists can choose which model fits their project.
Character Identity and Intellectual Property
A secondary feature addresses character consistency. The AI Actor Creator tool generates a permanent character sheet-up to 14 angles and expressions-from either an existing 3D character or reference photos. This locks in a visual identity that remains consistent across multiple AI-generated videos.
Because AI actors are anchored to real 3D character assets, creators retain full ownership. The same character can move from an AI video into a game engine, 3D print, or traditional animation pipeline without being trapped in a flat AI clip.
Performance and Dialogue Tools
The platform includes multi-character dialogue composition, with controls for speaking pace and emotional tone per performer. Artists can use default voices, clone voices from reference audio, or import pre-recorded files. Text prompts can also generate contextual dialogue and ambient sound simultaneously.
A built-in upscaling engine sharpens fine details like eyes, skin texture, and fabric to meet professional broadcast standards.

AI Studio Early Access is live for registered users who have purchased iClone or Character Creator. Eligible creators can log into their Reallusion accounts to access the workflow and production templates.
