Reply launches second AI Music Contest with jury of electronic music figures

Reply, an Italian technology company, is running an international competition for creatives who use AI to combine sound and visuals in live performances. Finalists will perform at Kappa FuturFestival in Turin from July 3-5, 2026.

The jury includes electronic music producers Agoria and Max Cooper, DJ Fleur Shore, and German tech-house figure Tini Gessler. Visual artist Ali Demirel, who works with AI-generated elements in performances, also judges entries. The panel is rounded out by DJ and journalist Albi Scotti, Reply AI Studios partner Oliver Bohl, and Sarah Grimaldi, executive creative director at Xister Reply.

This is the second year Reply has run the contest in partnership with Kappa FuturFestival, one of Europe's largest electronic music festivals. The 2026 theme is "Imaginatio Nova," asking participants to explore how human creativity intersects with technology.

Submission and evaluation details

Creatives can submit projects through aimc.reply.com until June 1, 2026. The jury will assess entries on creativity, integration of sound and image, and how well they work as live performances.

Winners receive the Reply AI Studios Grand Prix, which recognizes excellence in using AI within creative work. Finalists present their work on the festival's NOVA stage, with winners announced during the July event.
