Roots Automation Launches Bevaya, AI Agent Platform for Insurance Operations
Roots Automation, Inc. launched Bevaya on May 28, a new AI Agent platform designed for carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators. The platform replaces the company's existing Roots platform and consolidates design, deployment, and governance of AI agents across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing into a single environment.
The company has deployed more than 115 production AI systems across the industry's largest organizations, including three of the top five P&C carriers, three of the top 10 brokers, and three of the top 20 TPAs. Customers report 3-4× capacity gains and 98%+ accuracy on critical work, with measurable return on investment within the first year.
What Bevaya Does
Bevaya runs on InsurGPT™, an ensemble of AI models trained on more than 300 million proprietary insurance documents. The platform reads insurance language and processes the way experienced professionals do, allowing users to design AI agents for specific workflows.
The platform includes several core capabilities:
- Pre-built AI Agent Library. Ready-to-deploy agents for underwriting (submission ingestion, clearance, appetite assessment, risk analysis), claims (triage, first notice of loss, coverage analysis, reserves), and policy servicing (endorsements, renewals, premium audit).
- System Integration. Pre-built connectors for Guidewire, Outlook, and SFTP, plus custom APIs for external systems. Agents pull data, return structured results, and trigger actions across existing systems based on business rules.
- AI Assistant. A context-aware copilot that helps users build agents, navigate work items, and query documents in plain language, with reasoning and citations for every response.
- Document Intelligence. InsurGPT™ analyzes photos, diagrams, and scanned images in submissions and claims, extracting context that text-only AI systems miss.
- Human Review Interface. An interactive validation system where experts review and approve AI output. A visual overlay maps extracted data to its source location, with exceptions surfacing automatically based on confidence scoring and business rules.
- Work Item Dashboard. Each unit of work-an FNOL email or underwriting submission-becomes a trackable, auditable item that moves between automated processing and human review.
- Enterprise Governance. Role-based access controls, audit trails, secure secrets management, and flow versioning.
The Company and Its Track Record
Roots Automation was founded in 2018 by two former AIG executives. The company spent seven years building AI systems that operate at scale in the largest insurers' environments.
In 2025, customers realized more than $100 million in value from Roots Automation deployments. Effective immediately, all products, services, and customer engagements carry the Bevaya brand, though Roots Automation Inc. remains the legal entity.
