Safe Pro Group reports 1,336% Q2 revenue growth to $1.33M as AI gross margin hits 75%

Safe Pro Group reported record revenue of $1,332,074 for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a 1,336% increase over the same period last year. The jump was driven by AI product sales and U.S. government contracts, with the company's AI gross margin hitting 75% for the quarter.

The results mark the company's strongest quarter to date, supported by four government contract awards in Q2 alone. These include U.S. Army subcontracts for NODE edge-based threat detection and mapping, plus an Air Force SBIR award for AI dataset development for airfield operations.

Safe Pro also completed an open-market share repurchase program, buying back 474,630 shares during the six months ended June 30, 2026, out of a total of 637,084 repurchased under the Board-approved plan.

Defense contracts and product momentum

The company's AI subsidiary saw sales surge 3,084% year-over-year. Safe Pro credited the growth to continued expansion of its NODE and SPOTD edge-compute AI detection platforms across aerial and ground systems.

One notable win came from a leading U.S. defense prime, which awarded Safe Pro a contract to integrate real-time explosive threat detection onto next-generation autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs). The company also advanced integration of InFlight, its embeddable real-time AI threat detection package designed for onboard drone processing and direct feeds into mission planning systems like ATAK.

The SPOTD platform has now operated in active environments in Ukraine for nearly three years, supported by a proprietary dataset of over 2.9 million analyzed images. That dataset includes more than 54,328 identified threats and covers roughly 37,900 acres.

Innovation Day planned

Safe Pro Group has scheduled an Innovation Day on August 25, 2026, featuring live drone operations to demonstrate field use of its AI technologies. Supporting materials will be filed with the SEC.

Why this matters for product development teams

For product developers, the 75% gross margin on AI software indicates what buyers will pay when a model proves itself in real operating conditions. Safe Pro's extended field deployment in Ukraine cross-hardened edge models across evolving terrain and conditions, not just controlled test environments. That kind of iterative, ground-truth development - continuous image analysis in active use - is deepening both the detection model and the data set behind it. Product teams building AI for similar high-stakes applications should note that the contract wins center on integration into existing platforms, not standalone gadgets, which suggests workflows like data backbone development, threat mapping, and embedded systems are where these investments are maturing.
