Samsung Expands AI TV Push With Hands-On Events, Larger Micro RGB Lineup
Samsung Electronics held a two-day hands-on event April 16-17 to showcase its 2026 TV and audio products, positioning AI capabilities as a core feature across its consumer lineup. The "Samsung AI TV Week" event let customers test premium models including Micro RGB, OLED, Moving Style, The Frame, and Music Studio speakers.
The company unveiled the new models April 15 at "The First Look Seoul 2026," announcing what it calls the start of mass-market AI TV adoption. The centerpiece is "Vision AI Companion," an integrated platform that interprets what viewers are watching and displays relevant information directly on screen. Samsung extended the platform to most of this year's TV models.
The Micro RGB TV, first shown at CES 2026, now comes in sizes up to 115 inches, up from its original 55-inch offering. The expansion signals Samsung's confidence in demand for premium large-screen displays.
Event Structure Blends Demonstration With Sales
Samsung structured the event beyond a typical product showcase. The experience zone featured five themed areas: Micro RGB, movie, art and design, sports, and gaming. The company added wedding consultation booths, a stamp tour, and a prize drawing to encourage purchase consideration.
The approach reflects a shift in how manufacturers present AI features to consumers. Rather than abstract technical specs, Samsung gave visitors direct experience with how the AI platform functions during actual viewing.
For marketing professionals, the event demonstrates a practical strategy for introducing AI to mainstream audiences-moving from announcement-stage coverage to hands-on engagement that connects features to everyday use cases.
AI for Marketing and AI Design both play roles in how companies like Samsung position new technology to customers.
