SATO Launches Qritical.AI Inc. to Build AI Digital Infrastructure Operations
Toronto, Ontario – July 10, 2025 – SATO Technologies Corp. (TSXV: SATO) (OTCQB: CCPUF) has announced the creation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Qritical AI Inc. ("Qritical.ai"). This new entity will lead SATO’s entry into the growing AI infrastructure sector.
Qritical.ai will focus first on developing and operating AI Factory 1, a high-density data center optimized for large language models (LLMs), AI inference workloads, and next-generation compute applications. The facility will be located in Joliette, Québec, where it will repurpose up to 20 MW of hydroelectric-powered compute capacity from SATO’s existing infrastructure.
“Launching Qritical.ai aligns with our vision to position SATO as a global leader in sovereign and sustainable AI infrastructure,” said Romain Nouzareth, CEO and Co-Founder of SATO. “By leveraging Québec’s clean energy and our operational expertise, Qritical.ai will address the increasing demand for AI compute capacity.”
Key Highlights
- New Subsidiary: Qritical.ai is a dedicated platform for AI infrastructure development under SATO.
- Initial Asset: Repurposing part of the 20 MW hydroelectric-powered facility in Québec.
- Scalable Model: Supports GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings.
AI Factory 1 is expected to be operational within 6 to 9 months after Qritical.ai signs an agreement with an anchor client. The facility will feature advanced liquid cooling, 100 Gbps multi-provider connectivity, and customizable AI service configurations. The platform aims to provide low-latency, sovereign, and environmentally responsible compute options tailored to various AI workloads.
This move places SATO at the intersection of clean energy, Bitcoin mining, and AI infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable technology and value creation for shareholders.
